Zelensky Urges G7 to Deliver a “Decisive” Response After Deadly Russian Strikes on Ukraine

1 min read

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on G7 leaders to sharply increase pressure on Moscow, urging a firm and united response as Russia intensifies its deadly attacks across Ukraine. Speaking on Monday ahead of the G7 summit in France, Zelensky said the latest wave of Russian strikes which left multiple civilians dead demands immediate and meaningful action from the world’s most influential democracies.

He appealed directly to the leaders gathering for the summit, stressing that Ukraine urgently needs stronger air‑defense support, particularly systems capable of intercepting ballistic missiles.
Zelensky said it was “very important” that the G7 deliver a decisive and substantive response, adding that only increased pressure on Russia and enhanced protection for Ukrainian skies can prevent further loss of life.

As the G7 meets to discuss global security, Ukraine’s plea underscores the escalating stakes of the conflict and Kyiv’s reliance on its allies to counter Russia’s growing missile and drone campaign.
