US President Donald Trump says he is examining a fresh peace proposal from Iranian negotiators, but warned that the option of resuming military strikes on Iran remains “a possibility” as regional tensions continue to escalate.
His comments come amid ongoing violence despite the ceasefire agreement. Israeli forces and the Iran‑backed group Hezbollah have continued exchanging fire, with at least seven people reported killed in Israeli strikes on Saturday.
The situation has added new urgency to diplomatic efforts, even as the conflict shows little sign of easing on the ground.
