BNP Australia Hosts Dua and Iftar Gathering in Sydney

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Australia chapter organised a Dua and Iftar Mahfil in Sydney on Sunday, bringing together expatriate leaders, activists and supporters in a modest and spiritual gathering. Prayers were offered for the late party chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and martyred president Ziaur Rahman.

The event was presided over by BNP Australia Senior Vice‑President A.K.M. Fazlul Haque Shafik, with General Secretary Md Abul Hasan conducting the program. The opening prayer was led by Joint General Secretary Md Kuddusur Rahman.

Several speakers delivered brief remarks, including BNP Organising Secretary A.N.M. Masum, Zia Parishad President Md Karuzzaman Molla Jintu, Jubo Dal President Md Minhaj Uddin, and NSW BNP President Md Irfan Khan. They discussed party unity, the role of expatriates and the current political situation in Bangladesh.

Among the attendees were BNP advisers Dr Abdul Wahab, Vice‑Presidents Azat Kamrul Islam, Shaheen Arif, Md Kamrul Islam, Md Babul Ahmed, Masudur Rahman, Tasleema Korir, and Publicity Secretary Lintas Perera along with Ashit Gomez. Former Zia Parishad President M Kaiyum, General Secretary Khairul Kabir Pintu, Jubo Dal General Secretary Raj Hossain Raju, and many other Sydney‑based leaders and activists were also present.

The gathering concluded with prayers and reflections, reinforcing community ties among Bangladeshi expatriates in Australia.
