Australia’s foreign minister has said she is “outraged” over an Israeli government decision not to prosecute those responsible for the death of aid worker Zomi Frankcom, who was killed in an IDF strike.

Bangladesh’s government has carried out a significant reshuffle across its field administration, appointing new deputy commissioners and district magistrates in Natore, Gaibandha and Rangpur, while naming a new divisional commissioner for Rajshahi. The Ministry of Public Administration announced the changes on Wednesday through two official notifications signed by Deputy Secretary Mohammad Nur‑e‑Alam, noting the orders took effect immediately and were issued in the public interest.

According to the notifications, Mosammat Sultana Akter, a deputy secretary in the Posts and Telecommunications Division, has been appointed Natore DC and district magistrate. Dr Md Moniruzzaman, private secretary to the Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Co‑operatives, will take over as Gaibandha DC and district magistrate. Meanwhile, Miss Israt Jahan, a deputy secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been named Rangpur DC and district magistrate.

In a separate order, Md Yusuf Ali, member‑director of the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC), has been transferred and appointed divisional commissioner of Rajshahi.

The ministry said the reshuffle aims to inject “greater dynamism” into field administration and reflects the government’s ongoing rotation of officials in key district and divisional roles.
