Harry and Meghan Set to Relocate to UK as Children Enrol in British School

Prince Harry and Meghan are preparing to relocate to the UK later this month, moving into a private, non‑royal residence outside London a significant shift first reported by the Daily Telegraph and The Sun. Their children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, are enrolled to begin at a British school in September, marking the family’s first long‑term return to the UK since stepping back from royal duties.

King Charles was informed of the move on Sunday. While the Sussexes recently visited him at Highgrove in July, the relocation was not discussed at the time. The BBC understands the King was unaware of their plans until last weekend, but he welcomes the chance to see more of the family in a private, personal capacity.

Despite the move, there will be no change to the couple’s official status. Prince Harry and Meghan will remain private individuals, with no plans to resume roles as working royals.

Prince William and Princess Catherine have also been notified of the relocation, which is expected to unfold quietly and without public engagements.
