“On Monday afternoon, they informed me over a phone call and confirmed the matter this morning on their X handle,” Taiyeb shared, marking a significant milestone in Bangladesh’s digital journey. This development aligns with the government’s goal of expanding high-speed internet access across the nation, especially in remote and underserved areas.

Initially, Starlink will offer two packages: Starlink Residence and Residence Lite, with monthly costs of Tk6,000 and Tk4,200 respectively. Customers will need to pay a one-time fee of Tk47,000 for the setup equipment, including the satellite dish and necessary hardware.

One of the most attractive features highlighted is the absence of data caps or speed restrictions. Users can enjoy unlimited data at speeds of up to 300 Mbps, promising a transformative experience for households, businesses, and institutions seeking reliable internet connectivity.

Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb also mentioned that Bangladesh residents can start placing orders from Tuesday, heralding a new era of internet accessibility. “With this, Sir’s (Chief Adviser’s) expectation of launching within 90 days has been fulfilled,” he added, emphasizing the government’s commitment to timely digital infrastructure development.

As Bangladesh steps into the era of satellite internet, the arrival of Starlink is expected to bridge connectivity gaps, boost innovation, and accelerate economic growth across the country.
