Australian users are beginning to see changes across Meta platforms as the company rolls out its new Meta Account system, designed to bring multiple apps and devices under a single account management framework.
Many users have recently received emails or in-app notifications about creating or updating their Meta Account, following Meta’s announcement that it would replace and expand its existing Accounts Centre system.
What Is Changing?
Meta is introducing an updated account management system called Meta Account, which aims to simplify how users access and manage services across the company’s platforms.

What About WhatsApp?
Meta has stated that WhatsApp will not automatically be linked to a Meta Account.
WhatsApp will only appear within a user’s Meta Account if:

This means users can continue using WhatsApp separately unless they decide to connect it with their broader Meta account ecosystem.
