The funeral of Major General Mahmudul Hasan, a former home minister and vice chairman of a major political party, was completed on Thursday in Tangail. His namaz e janaza took place at the grounds of Bindubasini Government Boys High School, where people from across the district gathered to pay their respects. He was later buried at the family graveyard in the Santosh area.
He passed away the previous afternoon at his residence in Dhaka’s Gulshan due to age related complications. He was ninety years old at the time of his death. He leaves behind one son, one daughter and many admirers who remember him with deep respect.
