China’s military will conduct live‑fire exercises around Taiwan on Tuesday, according to a report from state news agency Xinhua. A graphic released with the announcement shows five designated zones encircling the island where both sea and airspace restrictions will be enforced.

A spokesperson for the People’s Liberation Army Eastern Theatre Command said the drills, named “Just Mission 2025,” will focus on naval and air‑force combat readiness, including operations aimed at controlling key ports and surrounding strategic areas. The exercises are part of broader joint‑force activities involving multiple branches of the PLA, according to publicly available information.
