Two Dead in Sydney’s North‑West, One Man Arrested After Early‑Morning Incident

A man has been arrested following the deaths of two people in Sydney’s north‑west early Sunday morning.Emergency services were called to a home in Quakers Hill just before 5am after reports of a disturbance. Inside the property, police found a 38‑year‑old woman dead in the kitchen.

A critically injured man, suffering from stab wounds, was discovered on the footpath outside. He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he died shortly afterward. Police later confirmed he was in his 30s.

A crime scene has been established, and detectives have launched a full investigation. Shortly after the incident, a 47‑year‑old man presented himself at Blacktown Police Station, where he was arrested. Officers later recovered a knife at a service station in nearby Woodcroft.

NSW Police Superintendent Jason Joyce described the situation as “very sad,” confirming that the two victims were in a relationship.
