Pop singer Shakira is set to release her first full-length LP in seven years on 22 March. The albumâs name, which references Shakiraâs most quoted line in her and Bizarrapâs Latin Grammy-winning âMusic Sessions Vol. 53,â is âLas Mujeres Ya No Lloranâ (âWomen Donât Cry Anymoreâ).
âMaking this body of work has been an alchemical process,â said Shakira in a statement. âWhile writing each song I was rebuilding myself. While singing them, my tears transformed into diamonds, and my vulnerability into strength.â The new album consists of 16 tracks, eight new songs, and a remix, including seven previously released singles: âMusic Sessions Vol. 53â with Bizarrap; âTQGâ with Karol G; âTe Felicitoâ with Rauw Alejandro; âCopa VacÃaâ with Manuel Turizo, and more.
Shakiraâs last effort, âEl Dorado,â arrived in 2017 and featured collaborations with Maluma, Nicky Jam, Prince Royce, Carlos Vives, and more.
Shakiraâs new album marks her debut release on vinyl, featuring four distinct artwork editions, each paired with an exclusive colored vinyl variant. The Sapphire edition will be exclusively offered on Amazon, while the Ruby edition will be available solely at Target. Fans can find the Emerald edition exclusively on Shakiraâs official website, and the Diamond edition will be stocked by all major retailers.
