Crisafulli Backs Ministers Over On‑Off Relationship, Says No Breach of Conduct Rules

Queensland Premier David Crisafulli is standing by ministers Tim Mander and Amanda Camm, insisting they did not breach conflict‑of‑interest rules despite revelations about their on‑again, off‑again relationship.

The pair confirmed earlier this week that they were in a “personal relationship” from June 2023 until May 2024 a period that ended before they were sworn in as ministers later that year. They say they resumed the relationship in June 2025 and formally disclosed it the following month after seeking advice from the integrity commissioner.

Under the ministerial code of conduct, ministers must declare personal interests, including “relationships.” Crisafulli said on Thursday he would not reshuffle cabinet and believed both ministers had acted appropriately under the ministerial handbook.

“I have a duty to administer the law, and both ministers have assured me they have complied with the law,” the premier said.

Crisafulli also defended not publicly disclosing that he was aware of the pair’s initial relationship while the LNP was in opposition.

Mander who holds the Olympics portfolio and Camm responsible for child safety remain adamant they followed all required declaration processes.
