BRTC to Launch Eid Special Bus Service from 23 May to Ease Holiday Travel Rush

Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) is gearing up to roll out its Eid Special Bus Service from 23 May, aiming to ensure smoother, safer and more affordable journeys for thousands of homebound passengers ahead of Eid‑ul‑Azha.

According to a statement from the corporation’s public relations department, advance ticket sales for the special service will open on 17 May, giving travellers extra time to secure seats before the holiday rush begins. The initiative is part of the government’s broader effort to support safe and comfortable travel during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.

Officials said the special service will allow passengers to reach destinations across the country at affordable fares, easing pressure on regular transport services and helping reduce overcrowding on highways and intercity routes.

BRTC authorities urged the public to take advantage of the dedicated Eid service, emphasising that the programme is designed to make holiday travel more reliable and accessible for everyone.
