Australia wants fair election in Bangladesh: HC Bruer

According to Australian High Commissioner Jeremy Bruer, his nation anticipates that Bangladesh will hold a neutral and inclusive election

Expressing concern about the recent incidents of violence in the South Asian country, he also stressed the importance of holding free and fair parliamentary polls here, scheduled on January 7.

The Australian high commissioner made the statements while talking to reporters after a courtesy meeting with Planning Minister MA Mannan at his office in Dhaka.

Bruer highlighted that their investors are expressing interest in investing more in Bangladesh.

The discussion includes simplifying the visa process for studying in Australia and collaborating in various sectors, such as education, skilled manpower, and infrastructure development.
