Bollywood actor Shriya Saran, who appeared in a few key scenes in the newly released sequel “Awarapan 2”, has praised the film and called it one of Emraan Hashmi’s finest performances to date.
Shriya’s character Aaliya was the emotional anchor of Emraan Hashmi’s Shivam Pandit in the original Awarapan (2007). In the sequel, her name and presence once again become a pivotal turning point in the storyline, shaping Shivam’s motivations and the film’s dramatic arc.
The sequel has also marked a major milestone for Emraan Hashmi. With Awarapan 2, he delivered his first solo ₹100‑crore hit, with worldwide collections reaching ₹161.67 crore, cementing the film as one of the biggest successes of his career.
Directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Bhatt under Vishesh Films, Awarapan 2 brings together a strong cast including Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi, alongside Hashmi’s intense lead performance. The film continues the legacy of the original while introducing fresh emotional stakes and high‑voltage drama.
