Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou Showcases Advanced Treatment Options for Bangladeshi Patients

2 min read

Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou is expanding access to cutting‑edge cancer care for patients in Bangladesh, presenting its latest treatment technologies at several major events in Dhaka this week. The hospital participated in the CMES International Health Tourism and Service Expo 2026 from May 7-9 at ICCB, and on May 9 joined the China-Bangladesh Education Cooperation Forum 2026 at the International Mother Language Institute.

The hospital’s outreach continues this week. Its information booth is open on May 10 at the University of Dhaka’s New Science Building from 10 AM to 2 PM, and on May 11 the institution will take part in the NSU Pharmacists Club event at North South University.

Recognised globally for its specialised cancer care, Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou offers far more than conventional surgery and chemotherapy. The institution provides 18 advanced minimally invasive treatments, including interventional therapy, cryotherapy and NanoKnife technology procedures designed to target tumours directly while sparing healthy tissue. These methods typically result in fewer side effects and faster recovery, making them increasingly sought after by international patients.

A major highlight of the exhibition is the presence of renowned oncologist Prof. Wang Ligan, who is meeting Bangladeshi patients and families to offer guidance on modern treatment options and personalised cancer care.

For Bangladeshi patients seeking treatment in China, the hospital’s Dhaka office plays a crucial support role. It assists with medical report evaluation, treatment planning, direct or online consultations with Chinese specialists, medical visa processing, travel guidance, interpreter services, coordination during treatment in China, and post‑treatment follow‑up after returning home.

As cancer cases continue to rise globally, the hospital’s presence in Bangladesh aims to ensure patients have access to world‑class treatment pathways without navigating the process alone.
