A shocking incident in Melbourne’s CBD has left one woman dead and a pedestrian seriously injured after she fell from a building and landed on him late Monday morning.
Emergency crews rushed to William Street just before midday, where they found the woman deceased at the scene. Police said she appeared to have fallen from an upper level of the building, striking a man walking below. The victim, believed to be in his 30s, suffered significant upper‑body injuries and was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital in serious condition.
Authorities have confirmed the woman’s death is not being treated as suspicious. Detectives are now working to formally identify her, while Victoria Police prepare a report for the coroner to determine the circumstances leading to the fall.
