Amid Rising Tensions with the US, Iran Unveils New Underground Missile Base

1 min read

Iran has revealed a newly constructed underground missile base at a moment of escalating tensions with the United States. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) disclosed the facility’s existence on Wednesday, offering a rare glimpse into the country’s expanding military infrastructure. Iran’s Armed Forces Chief Abdul Rahman Mousavi and IRGC Aerospace Division head Saeed Majid Mousavi toured the site, receiving detailed briefings on missile readiness and operational capabilities.

Following the inspection, Iran’s military chief declared that the country is now prepared for “any scenario.” He noted that after last June’s 12‑day conflict with Israel, Iran shifted its strategic posture from defensive to offensive. He highlighted new capabilities, including rapid large‑scale operations, asymmetric warfare, and the ability to disrupt enemy military strategies.

The unveiling comes as the United States increases its military presence around Iran, deploying warships and reinforcing regional assets. Although both nations have agreed to resume dialogue, analysts warn that failure to reach a diplomatic solution could heighten the risk of a US strike.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has issued a stark warning: any US attack, he said, could ignite a wider regional war with far‑reaching consequences.
