BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman has alleged that a fresh conspiracy is underway targeting the people’s freedom, voting rights, and freedom of expression. Addressing a large election rally in Faridpur, he claimed that those involved in such plots are being labelled by the public as “hidden actors,” because “they change their appearance whenever circumstances shift.”
Speaking as the chief guest at Wednesday’s gathering at Rajendra College field organised by the BNP’s Faridpur divisional unit Tarique Rahman delivered a pointed warning rooted in history and past political conduct.
He said that individuals with controversial pasts, particularly those whose actions in 1971 led to the suffering of many women, cannot be expected to act in the nation’s interest. According to him, such people “say one thing and do another,” making vigilance essential for citizens. He added that those who lack basic respect for the country’s mothers and sisters cannot be trusted to ensure public safety.
