Australian football talent Annalise Rasmussen is set to begin a new chapter in Europe after signing with Italian powerhouse Juventus, marking one of the most significant overseas moves for a young A‑League player this season.
The 20‑year‑old striker will join Juventus Women in Serie A and the UEFA Women’s Champions League, with her contract running through June 2028. Her transfer follows a standout season with the Central Coast Mariners, where she scored 11 goals in 14 matches, placing her equal top in the Golden Boot race.
From Academy Prospect to European Football
Rasmussen revealed that Juventus made contact just last week. Her journey with the Mariners began at age 11, when she joined the club’s academy. She later became the first officially signed player when the Mariners re‑entered the A‑League Women’s competition in 2023–24.
Less than two years later, she played a pivotal role in the club’s grand final victory over Melbourne Victory, cementing her status as one of Australia’s brightest young forwards.
“The grand final is a big stand‑out… it was something really special,” Rasmussen said. She also reflected on her unforgettable debut: “That first away game against the Newcastle Jets is something I’ll never forget.”
A New Stage Awaits
Her move to Juventus places her among Europe’s elite, offering a platform to elevate her game on the world stage while representing Australian football abroad.
