Professor Muhammad Yunus Unveils Trophy for 2nd Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025

The official trophy of the 2nd Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025 was unveiled on Sunday (November 16) by Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus at the Jamuna State Guest House in Dhaka, in the presence of representatives from all participating nations.

The tournament will take place from November 17 to 24 at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Dhaka. In his speech, Professor Yunus highlighted the significance of hosting the World Cup in Bangladesh and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring an inclusive, inspiring, and world-class tournament.

Meanwhile, under the theme “Let’s Change the Country, Let’s Change the World”, Dhaka University officially inaugurated the Yearlong Youth Festival 2026 on Sunday (November 16). The opening ceremony was held at the Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building auditorium, with Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmad Khan serving as the chief guest.

In his inaugural address, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized that youth is one of the key driving forces of national progress, and the festival was organized to recognize and celebrate the contributions of young people in building a new Bangladesh.
