Woman in Critical Condition After Being Struck by Train at Dudley Park

Adelaide: A woman is in a critical condition after being struck by a train at Dudley Park Station on Monday evening.

Emergency services were called to the station, which sits on the Gawler line parallel to Churchill Road, at around 5:10 p.m. after reports that a person had been hit.

Firefighters and paramedics worked quickly to move the injured woman, aged 61 and from Adelaide’s southern suburbs, from the tracks to the platform before she was rushed to hospital with life‑threatening injuries.

Adelaide Metro staff attended the scene to assist police and emergency crews, while train services on the line were temporarily disrupted.

Western District police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether it was accidental or deliberate.

The incident comes amid ongoing safety campaigns urging commuters to remain vigilant around rail crossings and platforms.
