A drone attack on Russia’s Perm Region injured five workers and damaged an industrial facility, according to regional authorities.
Dmitry Makhonin, the governor of Perm Region, said on Sunday that emergency services were deployed to the scene following the incident. He confirmed that five employees were injured and received medical treatment. Authorities have not released further details regarding the extent of their injuries or the specific nature of the damage caused to the facility.
“The injured people received the necessary medical help,” Makhonin said in a statement posted on the state-backed MAX messaging platform.
Officials have not publicly identified the industrial site involved, and no additional information has been provided about the target or the scale of the attack.
The incident is the latest in a series of drone-related attacks reported inside Russian territory as the conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues. Regions located far from frontline areas have increasingly reported strikes on industrial, energy, and infrastructure facilities.
Emergency and security personnel remain at the scene assessing the damage and investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack.
Russian authorities have not announced whether operations at the facility have been disrupted, and no claims of responsibility were immediately reported.
