Queenslander Lexie Brant, a 21-year-old occupational therapy student and part-time medical secretary, was crowned Miss Universe Australia 2025 last night in the glittering Grand Ballroom at Crown Perth. Battling 29 finalists, she wowed judges with her blend of poise, intellect and heartfelt passion for community service.
Brant’s journey to the national stage included a transformative trip to Vietnam, where she and fellow contestants lived at the Hoiana Resort and sharpened their skills through NIDA-led acting workshops and professional runway coaching. She also visited Hearing & Beyond, a charity supporting children with hearing loss, inspiring her commitment to inclusive healthcare advocacy.
On social media, fans flooded Brant’s page now boasting over 6,000 followers with congratulations. “Well deserved,” “You are amazing,” and “So proud” were just a few of the messages praising her warm smile and genuine confidence.
Balancing full-time study, a job in an orthopaedic surgeon’s office and rigorous pageant prep, Brant says stepping outside her comfort zone taught her the value of inner strength. “This competition has pushed me to grow emotionally and mentally,” she reflected. “It’s not just about how you look, but how you carry yourself and lift others up.”
As Australia’s new titleholder, she will head to Bangkok, Thailand, in November to compete at Miss Universe 2025. Brant aims to spotlight occupational therapy and mental health awareness on the global stage, determined to prove that compassion and confidence can reign together under the same crown.
