The 19th edition of the Dubai International Sports Conference and the 15th Globe Soccer Dubai Awards is poised to attract an array of football’s brightest stars, including Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo, England’s Jude Bellingham, and Spain’s Lamine Yamal, on Friday at Atlantis, The Palm.
This glittering event is expected to welcome over 1,000 guests, showcasing a who’s who of football luminaries. Notable attendees will include representatives from current European champions Real Madrid, such as Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand, among other distinguished guests from clubs and organizations worldwide.
Organized under the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, the conference runs concurrently with the annual Globe Soccer Dubai Awards. Since its inception in 2010, the awards have become a prestigious gathering for football’s key stakeholders, celebrating achievements across domestic, regional, and international spheres while providing a platform for discussions on pressing issues in the sport.
The theme for this year’s conference, “Talented Football,” will be moderated by CNN’s Amanda Davis, who will co-host alongside Tom Urquhart. Ronaldo, Bellingham, and Courtois are set to take the stage as guest speakers, adding to the event’s allure.
During the evening, 15 main awards will be presented, including Best Men’s Player, Best Women’s Player, Best Men’s Club, Best Women’s Club, and the Maradona Award, along with five Career Awards.
The Globe Soccer Dubai Awards have captured global attention this year, with over 100 million votes cast by fans from more than 200 countries, surpassing the previous record of 70 million. Additionally, the Globe Soccer mobile app has achieved over two million downloads, highlighting the event’s worldwide appeal.
In a charitable gesture, the SIRO Golden Ticket Auction raised Dh30,000, with all proceeds benefiting the Al Jalila Foundation, an organization dedicated to advancing medical research, education, and healthcare.
