When two massage parlors were searched in Bali due to allegations of prostitution, an Australian couple and a social media celebrity were taken into custody.

According to media sources, police displayed Lynley Le Grand, 44, and Michael Jerome Le Grand, 50, together with eight other people during a press conference on Friday regarding the raids.

According to reports, the Victorian couple has owned other well-known enterprises in Bali and has lived there for a long time.

Police alleged the couple’s spa, Pink Palace, in the Kuta district offered sex services illegal in Indonesia. The business’s website and social media pages have since been shut down. Lingerie, condoms and massage oil were allegedly seized during the raid. It’s been alleged one staff member of the Pink Palace spa was 17 years old.

Police are seeking to prosecute the couple under the country’s anti-pornography law and are investigating whether charges should be pressed under Indonesia’s child protection laws. If found guilty, they face up to 12 years behind bars.

General crime director of Bali police, Ketut Suarnaya alleged Pink Palace spa made between $94,500-$286,000 per month.
