14-year-old girl taken to hospital with severe brain injuries

A 14-year-old girl has sustained serious injuries after being struck by a car in Brisbane.

Near the intersection of Robinson Road and Murphy Road in Geebung, the young pedestrian was struck just after 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

After receiving treatment at Queensland Children’s Hospital, she had severe head injuries.

Investigators think the young pedestrian was struck by a white Toyota Hilux.

A 45-year-old Eatons Hill man is helping police with their investigations right now.

Authorities are urging anyone who was in the area at the time or may have relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
