On February 14, Wednesday, an exchange meeting of the Australia Bangladesh Business Forum was held with Tapan Kanti Ghosh, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Government of Bangladesh, in the hall of Campbelltown Catholic Club in Sydney.
President of the forum Abdul Khan Ratan welcomed the guest with a bouquet and informed him in detail about the activities and plans of the Australia Bangladesh Business Forum.
Mr. Tapan Kanti Ghosh expressed his satisfaction with the activities of the forum and expressed the assurance of overall cooperation from the Ministry of Commerce as well as the commitment to work together and highlighted the various plans of the government to expand Bangladesh’s trade in the global market.
Chaired by Forum President Abdul Khan Ratan and moderated by Secretary Brian Lall, the exchange of views was discussed in detail about the possibility of expanding bilateral trade between Australia and Bangladesh and the successful completion of the Single Country Fair in Sydney next October.
President of Business Forum Abdul Khan Ratan said that the forum is working with about 30 local chambers of commerce including the federal and state governments of Australia. Australia-Bangladesh Business Forum is working relentlessly on the opportunities and possibilities of bilateral trade expansion between Australia and Bangladesh as well as sending skilled manpower including garments, jute, medicine, leather, education, and IT.
Bangladesh High Commission Canberra Councilor Tahleel Moon and Councilor Rony Chakma along with members of the forum were present at this meeting.
