Bus waiting in Toll Plaza catches fire

A transport burst into flames because of a mechanical issue before a cost square on the Bangabandhu Freeway, harming three travelers.

Observers said the incident happened around 12:30pm on Friday (24 November) before Bangabandhu Turnpike’s Dhaleshwari cost square in Munshiganj.

“Three individuals were scorched in the incident. One of them has been shipped off the Sheik Hasina Consume Unit for better treatment,” said Badal Rahman, responsible for the Sirajdikhan Fire Administration.

He also said they brought the fire under control within 20 minutes of arriving at the scene.

Regarding the incident, Nahin Reza, the executive engineer of Munshiganj Roads and Highways, said the bus caught fire due to a mechanical fault, and three people were burned.
