Six Injured Including Two Toddlers After Truck and Train Collide in Perth’s Guildford

At least six people, among them two toddlers, have been injured after a truck and a train collided at a level crossing in Guildford during Wednesday’s peak hour, sending emergency crews rushing into the heart of the eastern Perth suburb.

St John Ambulance confirmed that none of the injuries appear to be life‑threatening. Paramedics treated two young boys and a woman in her 30s at the scene. A teenage girl and another woman in her 30s were taken to Midland Hospital, while a woman in her 50s was transported to Royal Perth Hospital for further care.

Witnesses described a chaotic scene as police, firefighters and paramedics converged on Meadow Street just before 4pm. One eyewitness, Eric, said the impact was so severe the truck appeared to have been “torn in half,” with debris scattered across the crossing.

Police said emergency services responded immediately after receiving reports of the collision, and the area was quickly cordoned off as crews worked to assess injuries and secure the site.

The incident caused major disruption in Guildford’s town centre, with commuters reporting long delays and heavy congestion as authorities worked through the peak‑hour aftermath.
