Police Release Images of Children’s Clothing to Help Identify Victims in Major Sydney Child‑Abuse Case

1 min read

Authorities have released new images of distinctive children’s clothing as part of the ongoing effort to identify victims in the high‑profile Sydney childcare abuse investigation. The matter remains before the courts.

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) on Thursday published seven images of clothing items found on electronic devices seized under Operation Moonbi, the nationwide investigation into a childcare worker accused of abusing more than 130 children.

Among the items released is a dinosaur‑pattern puffer vest, with metadata indicating the photo was likely taken on June 26, 2023, at a Rouse Hill childcare centre. Investigators say the clothing images may help families recognise items linked to potential victims.

The AFP urged parents and guardians to review the images carefully and contact authorities if they believe they recognise any of the clothing. Detectives continue to analyse thousands of files as part of what has become one of Australia’s most complex child‑abuse investigations.

The case remains before the courts, and authorities have reiterated that no further details about the accused or the alleged offences can be released at this stage.
