Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has directed reserved-seat Member of Parliament Ferdousi Ahmed (Misty) to resign from her parliamentary position following allegations linking her to an attack, vandalism, and looting at the Radda MCH-FP Centre in Mirpur, Dhaka.
The development was confirmed on Thursday by Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Abu Abdullah M Saleh, also known as Saleh Shibly.
The decision comes as authorities continue investigating allegations surrounding the attack on the Radda healthcare facility, which was reportedly vandalised, looted, and later demolished on the night of September 24.
The Radda MCH-FP Centre in Mirpur-1 had long provided primary healthcare, maternal care, and family planning services to local residents, particularly women and children from low-income communities.

The health centre in Mirpur-1 was attacked, vandalised and looted on the night of 24 September. The facility was subsequently demolished.
Misty has denied allegations of involvement in the attack.
Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed said on Wednesday that action would be taken if the investigation found evidence of anyone’s involvement in the attack and vandalism at the Radda centre.
The investigation remains ongoing as law enforcement agencies continue gathering evidence and examining the circumstances surrounding the incident.
