For the first time in Akhaura’s history, a unique corporate event titled “Akhaura Sky Experience” is set to offer residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy aerial views of the township and its surrounding areas by helicopter.
A press conference was held at Grand Sultan Restaurant in Akhaura on the night of October 5 to provide details about the upcoming event. Representatives from both local and national media attended the briefing.
The event’s chief coordinator, Nirjon Mosarrof, joined the press conference virtually from Australia, outlining various aspects of the programme and responding to questions from journalists. He announced that the highly anticipated Akhaura Sky Experience will take place on October 18, 2026, at the Akhaura Shaheed Smriti College Ground.
According to the organisers, participants will have the opportunity to board a helicopter and enjoy panoramic aerial views of Akhaura and nearby scenic locations, offering a rare and memorable experience for local residents.
Representing the organising team at the press conference were Mobarak Hossain Jibon, Ekramul Hasan, Mohammad Hossain, and Md Hossain. Around 20 journalists attended the event, including Biswajit Pal Babu, Mohiuddin Mishu, and Md Hannan Khadem.
During the question-and-answer session, journalists asked whether ticket prices for the helicopter rides could be reduced. Organisers explained that lowering prices would be difficult due to the substantial costs involved in maintaining international-standard safety measures, helicopter operations, fuel expenses, and other technical requirements.
However, they expressed confidence that the experience would offer exceptional value for individuals seeking a premium and adventurous activity.
Organisers emphasized that Akhaura Sky Experience is intended to be more than just a helicopter ride. They described it as a platform that will combine modern corporate culture, entertainment, local business promotion, tourism potential, and community engagement.
The event is expected to attract members of Akhaura’s civil society, prominent business leaders, educators, social activists, and local political figures. Organisers also announced that Kabir Ahmed Bhuiya has agreed to attend as the chief guest.
They believe the initiative will help showcase Akhaura’s potential, strengthen its public image, and contribute positively to local economic activity while giving residents a unique and unforgettable experience.
