Iranian Commander Issues Stark Warning as Tensions With United States Escalate

1 min read

A senior commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, General Mohsen Rezaei, has delivered a sharp public warning aimed at United States President Donald Trump, intensifying already strained relations between the two countries. Speaking on Thursday, Rezaei responded to Trump’s earlier claim that his “hand is on the trigger,” saying that such a hand and finger would be “cut off.” His message made clear that Iran would not retreat if attacked.

Rezaei said Iran would refuse any ceasefire if the United States launched an assault, insisting the country would fight until its objectives were achieved. He accused Washington of ignoring Iran’s restraint and strategic patience, arguing that Trump must step back immediately or risk leaving every American base in the Middle East exposed.

Reports from the Gulf region suggest that mediation by several countries has prompted Trump to reconsider plans for a strike on Iran. Iran’s ambassador to Pakistan also said Trump personally assured Tehran that the United States would not attack. Even so, Iranian officials remain skeptical of the promise.
