Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan Joins New Political Party NCP as Spokesperson

Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, former adviser to the current interim government and one of the coordinators of the student movement, has officially joined the newly formed political party Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP). He will serve as the party’s spokesperson.

NCP convener Nahid Islam confirmed the development at a press conference held on Monday (29 December) evening.

Nahid Islam also announced that Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan will not contest in the upcoming election. Instead, he will focus on supporting the party’s candidates.

According to Nahid Islam, Asif Mahmud, in his role as spokesperson, will work to help ensure the victory of NCP candidates participating in the election.
