A 36 year old man is in critical condition after an alleged assault in Northbridge early Saturday morning.WA Police said officers were called to reports of a disturbance outside a licensed venue near the intersection of James Street and Mountain Terrace at about 5.30am.
Emergency crews, including St John WA paramedics, arrived to find the man unconscious after he was assaulted, fell and struck his head on the pavement.
He was rushed under priority conditions to Royal Perth Hospital with life threatening injuries, where he remains in critical condition. Police confirmed a 20 year old man is assisting with inquiries.
Investigators are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has CCTV or dash cam footage from the area to contact Crime Stoppers.
