Brazil Crowned Champions of Inaugural Women’s Futsal World Cup

Brazil made history by winning the first-ever Women’s Futsal World Cup, defeating Portugal 3-0 in the final held at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City, Manila.

The 16-day tournament concluded on Sunday before a packed crowd of nearly 5,000 spectators, with Brazil showing dominance from the opening whistle.

Emily opened the scoring midway through the first half. The reigning FIFA Women’s Futsal Player of the Year shone once again, finishing the tournament with seven goals and two assists, earning both the Golden Ball and Golden Boot awards.

In the second half, Amandinha doubled the lead.

With just three minutes left, Debora Vanin sealed the victory with Brazil’s third goal.

Brazil finished the competition undefeated, lifting the historic trophy. Portugal, who had eliminated Argentina in the semifinals, settled for the runner-up position.
