Concerns over the health of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia have drawn emotional reactions from party leaders and large crowds outside Evercare Hospital in the capital.
BNP Standing Committee member and Khaleda Zia’s personal physician Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain became visibly moved while speaking about her condition. He confirmed that Khaleda Zia is currently receiving treatment and that necessary measures are being taken to improve her health.
Dr. Hossain also urged the public not to believe the rumors circulating about her illness, calling for patience and trust in the medical process.
Meanwhile, thousands of supporters and curious onlookers have gathered outside Evercare Hospital, creating significant disruption. Many were seen taking photos, livestreaming, and posting updates on social media. The crowd has repeatedly blocked the main road in front of the hospital, raising concerns about interruptions to emergency patient services.
Police and hospital authorities have attempted several times to disperse the crowd, but the situation remains tense as supporters continue to wait for updates on Khaleda Zia’s condition.
