The Rising Stars Asia Cup final ended in high drama as Pakistan ‘A’ defeated Bangladesh ‘A’ in a Super Over to claim the title for the third time.
Bangladesh had earlier reached the final after a nail-biting Super Over win against India ‘A’. In the championship clash, both teams scored 125 runs in 20 overs, forcing the match into a Super Over.
Bangladesh set a modest target of 7 runs, which Pakistan chased down with two balls to spare, sealing the trophy.
Bangladesh’s bowlers had laid a strong foundation for victory, with Ripon Mondol and Rakibul Hasan helping restrict Pakistan to 125. However, Bangladesh’s batters failed to capitalize, leaving the door open for Pakistan to snatch victory in the tiebreaker.
