Tensions flared at the capital’s Alia Madrasa on Saturday night as repeated clashes broke out between two groups of students, leaving several injured.
Following the violence, students began staging protests inside the madrasa campus. To restore order, authorities deployed additional police and army personnel in the area.
Witnesses reported that the confrontation erupted in the madrasa hall, where fighting between the two groups left multiple students hurt. The injured were later taken to hospital for treatment. By around 10:45 pm, some students were still trapped inside the hall, with rescue efforts underway.
Teachers and students declined to comment on who was involved or the reasons behind the clashes. The incident has created a climate of unrest, prompting the administration to take a firm stance to ensure safety and stability at the institution.
