BNP Marks 47th Anniversary with Festive Gathering in Perth

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party celebrated its 47th founding anniversary in Perth on Saturday with a vibrant discussion forum and reunion at the Victoria Park Community Centre. The event also introduced the newly formed convening committee of BNP’s Western Australia chapter.

The hall was packed with expatriate leaders, activists, and community members, with men, women, and children joining in a lively atmosphere.

BNP National Standing Committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury addressed the gathering online, telling participants, “Even from abroad, you are part of the country’s democratic movement. Your unity and resolve are the driving force for future change.”

Special guests included BNP’s International Affairs Secretary Rashedul Haque, Australia BNP President A.F.M. Touhidul Islam, General Secretary Mohammad Haider Ali, Volunteer Wing International Secretary Mohammad Ferdous Ami, advisers Moazzem Hossain, Mohammad Shahalam, and Engineer Sabbir Hossain.

Western Australia BNP Convenor Kamal Hossain and Member Secretary Muhammad Faisal Al Mahmud thanked attendees for their support.

Speakers reflected on the party’s history, its role in the democratic struggle, and the current political climate. Organisers urged expatriates to remain united in advancing BNP’s ideals and strengthening their role in the movement to restore democracy.
