2 min read

Sara Sampaio, who stars as Eve Teschmacher in the latest superhero blockbuster, has spilled some fun behind-the-scenes secrets about her cast. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she revealed that the cast has a close-knit group chat called the ‘Superman Gang,’ where they share jokes—and apparently bully co-star Beck Bennet!

Sampaio shared that the group chat gets pretty lively, especially recently. “Everyone is really into teasing Beck,” she said with a laugh. “He can take it, though. It’s been very active this weekend; everyone’s just really excited.”

She also opened up about her character Eve, noting that many viewers initially underestimated her. “People thought, ‘What is she even doing in the movie? Why is she taking selfies?’” she explained. “But at the end, she saves the day, which is a brilliant way of showing that humans and characters are not just one thing.”

Throughout the film, Sampaio’s Eve is seen snapping selfies while major, tragic events unfold behind her. She admitted, “I really don’t take many selfies in real life, and after this movie, I’m not sure I want to take any more. I had to take over 1,000 selfies during filming, and now the idea of snapping one just doesn’t appeal to me anymore.”

Her behind-the-scenes revelations give fans a fun peek into the camaraderie among the cast and a humorous look at her own selfie-heavy role!
