The authorities have decided to close the Dhaka University metro station from the afternoon of July 14. Although metro services will operate on that day, no trains will stop at the station during this period.
Rafiqul Islam, Manager of Administration at the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited, announced this in a statement on Sunday, July 13.
The notice explained that the closure is based on a decision by the committee formed for the July Reawakening of the Mass Uprising Program, centered around Dhaka University. The Ministry of Cultural Affairs provided the directive, instructing the authorities to implement the closure starting at 5 p.m. on July 14.
This measure aims to facilitate the scheduled events and ensure smooth execution of the program.
