Udoy Inc. continues raising funds to help Cancer council in Australia

Australia’s biggest morning tea, organized by Udoy Inc., has been successful once again. The event took place at Epping Public School in Sydney on Sunday, May 12. The president of the organization, Laila Arzuman, of Bangladeshi origin, said that the entire amount has been handed over to the Cancer Council of Australia.

 

On this day, at around 9:30 a.m., the main door was opened for everyone to participate in the event. The program started after 9:30 a.m. and lasted until 2 p.m. with everyone’s spontaneous participation. Special guests at the event were Anita Dessaix, Chair of Cancer Council NSW and Director of Cancer Prevention and Advocacy.

At 10:30 am, all the dignitaries started participating in the speech. The general secretary of Udoy Inc., Dr. Dharrini Balachandran, started the program with the Country of Acknowledgment. The Australian National Anthem was then performed by Victoria Bolonina, an Australian classical and pop singer and The Voice Australia finalist.

Speakers included Anita Dessaix, Chair of Cancer Council New South Wales; Mr. Jerome Laxale MP, Member of Parliament for Bennelong; Philip Ruddock AO, Hornsby Councilor Mayor; Cameron MacLean, Councilor City of Parramatta; and Councilor Sreeni Pillamarri, Hornsby Shire.

Also noted are: former Canterbury Bankstown Councilor Mohammad Zaman Titu; Rizwanul Chowdhury, Senior Political Organizer, United Workers Union; Sydney BD lawyer Amjad Khan; former DUAAA President Mustafa Abdullah; DUAAA Founder and Former General Secretary Anis Majumder; President of CHETians in Australia, Dr Abdullah Al Mamun; CEO and President SGC Group Inc., Manjula and Indu; Cheltenham Girls P&C President Rosie Cooper; Dr. Sajedul Islam; Dr. Suranjana Jennifer; Dr. Ehsan Ahmed; Federal Tax Specialist R J Parvin and distinguished businessmen-Mohammed Kabir, Humayan Kabir, Anm Masum.Laila Arzuman, president of Udoy Inc., said, “Cancer is a deadly disease that must be fought collectively. The Cancer Council of Australia has been continuing its activities with great success for a long time, and everyone should come forward to promote the noble work.At the event, cancer survivor Marsheka Sarwar shared her life story and presented herself as a symbol of hope and strength. She also thanked the Cancer Council Australia for standing by him.

After the speech, certificates were given to all the volunteers on behalf of UDOY  Inc. by the Chair of Care Council New South Wales, Member of Parliament of Bennelong, and councilors.


Singer Victoria Bolonina’s songs were the highlight of the event. She enlivened and encouraged the volunteers by singing them.
Apart from Bangladeshis, other communities helped in serving the food in the food stalls. UDOY  Inc. organized Mother’s Day and Kids Raffle Draw Prizes. Finally, the president of Udoy Inc., Laila Arzuman, concluded the program by greeting everyone and urging everyone to fight cancer together in the future.
