Hawkins, Indiana, is calling once more and Stranger Things fans worldwide are gearing up for an epic conclusion. After more than three years since viewers last stepped into the supernatural chaos of Hawkins, the beloved sci-fi saga returns for its final season.
The fifth installment kicks off with four episodes set to drop on Netflix globally on Thursday, 27 November at 01:00 GMT, offering die-hard UK fans a late-night binge opportunity. Meanwhile, viewers in Los Angeles and New York will be able to tune in earlier due to time zone differences. However, the excitement is staggered, episodes five, six, and seven won’t arrive until ‘Boxing Day’, with the grand finale, “The Rightside Up,” premiering on ‘New Year’s Day 2026’, finally bringing closure to a story that has captivated audiences since 2016. The extended release format adds to the suspense, leaving fans to speculate over character fates and unresolved plotlines between episode drops.
Season four left the Stranger Things universe fractured, emotionally and literally. With Eleven’s shocking realization that she created Vecna by banishing Henry Creel to another dimension, the stakes have never been higher. As Vecna used Max as a gateway back, Eleven’s attempt to resurrect her friend may have given the villain a second chance. The season’s end saw Hawkins split open, with reality itself breaking down as the boundary between the real world and the Upside Down dissolved. With fields dying, skies darkening, and chaos unfolding, viewers were left wondering: Who will survive? What will become of Hawkins? And how will the story of Eleven and her friends finally end? As the curtain prepares to fall on one of Netflix’s most iconic series, one thing is certain, Stranger Things will go out with a bang, not a whimper.
