Russian Strikes Kill Children in Kyiv as Both Sides Report New Casualties Across the Front

Russia and Ukraine have reported a new wave of deadly strikes, with children among the latest victims as attacks intensified across multiple regions. Moscow’s Ministry of Defence claimed its forces hit an ammunition depot in Myla, alleging it stored components and launch boosters for FP‑1 and FP‑2 long‑range drones systems Russia says Ukraine has used in recent operations.

In Kyiv, regional officials confirmed a 14‑year‑old boy was killed in a separate attack in the Boryspil district, while Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said a two‑year‑old child died after a Russian drone crashed in the Obolonskyi area. Klitschko added that five people, including an 18‑year‑old girl, were injured in fresh strikes on the capital on Saturday morning. Local authorities reported five deaths nationwide over the past day.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia launched additional overnight strikes on Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy and Zaporizhzhia, while Ukraine’s military claimed it had shot down 233 Russian drones during the same period.

Inside Russia, officials in the Belgorod and Rostov regions said two people were killed and 25 injured in Ukrainian strikes over the past 24 hours. In occupied Zaporizhzhia, the Moscow‑installed governor reported four injuries after a Ukrainian strike hit a shopping centre.

The latest escalation underscores the widening reach of the conflict, with both sides reporting civilian casualties as drone warfare and cross‑border strikes intensify.
