Millie Bobby Brown Says Tom Cruise Is a “Dear Friend” And He Keeps Trying to Get Her to Fly His Aircraft

Millie Bobby Brown is opening up about her unlikely friendship with Hollywood icon Tom Cruise and the wild stunts he keeps encouraging her to try. Speaking at New York City’s 92nd Street Y during a conversation with Happy Sad Confused host Josh Horowitz, the Enola Holmes star said she feels “very lucky” to call Cruise a friend.

“He’s a dear friend. He’s a wonderful man, and I’m very lucky to call him my friend,” she said, adding with a laugh, “Tom does the craziest stuff. I think he’s trying to get me to somehow fly a plane at some point.”

As it turns out, this wouldn’t be her first time piloting one of Cruise’s machines. Millie revealed she has already flown his helicopter an experience she jokingly vowed never to repeat. “I was like, ‘This is the last time I ever fly any of his equipment,’” she said.

Her thrill‑seeking streak has carried over into her own work. In a previous appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Millie spoke about performing “Tom Cruise‑level” stunts on the set of her fantasy film Damsel. “You’re just like, ‘Am I really gonna do that stunt?’ And then that day they’re like, ‘Yep, put the harness on,’ and I just did the stunt as if it wasn’t Tom Cruise-level stuff. I felt like Tom Cruise,” she said, calling him “cool” and joking that she felt like his female counterpart.

Millie is currently promoting Enola Holmes 3, starring alongside Louis Partridge and Henry Cavill. The action‑drama arrives on Netflix on July 1, 2026, and she says she’s more excited than ever to bring her high‑energy stunt work to fans.
