Bangladesh Navy Chief: Armed Forces to Play Key Role in Upcoming Election

Bangladesh Navy Chief Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hassan has emphasized that the armed forces will play a crucial role in ensuring the upcoming national parliamentary elections are free, fair, and impartial. He assured that the Navy will provide full support to both the government and the Election Commission in organizing the polls.

Speaking on Monday morning at the BNS Sher-e-Bangla parade ground in Kalapara, Patuakhali, during the graduation ceremony of the Navy’s 2025 batch of new sailors, Admiral Hassan highlighted the military’s longstanding commitment to maintaining law and order. He added that the armed forces have always acted responsibly in safeguarding national security and will continue to do so in the future.
