Bowling spin with one arm is difficult enough but Vijay Yadav can do it with both. The 24‑year‑old Kashi Rudras all‑rounder is turning heads in the UP T20 League thanks to his rare ability to switch seamlessly between right‑arm and left‑arm spin, a skill that has already put him on the radar of IPL scouts.
Yadav says his next big goal is clear: the Indian Premier League. “My benchmark is that I try to play IPL as soon as possible in the next one or two years. I work hard for that, be it bowling, batting or fielding,” he told PTI.
His rise has been steady. Inspired by India’s 2011 World Cup triumph, he began playing cricket the following year. He represented Uttar Pradesh at U‑19 and U‑23 levels before earning his chance in the UP T20 League. After two seasons with the Gorakhpur Lions, defending champions Kashi Rudras signed him for ₹5.2 lakh ahead of the 2026 season.
What sets him apart becomes obvious the moment he grips the ball an ambidextrous spinner capable of confusing batters with unpredictable angles, variations and sudden switches in bowling arm. With IPL teams already watching, Yadav’s unique talent could soon take him to the biggest stage in Indian cricket.
