American actor Hayden Panettiere, known for her breakout roles in Heroes, Nashville and the Scream franchise, has died at the age of 36. Panettiere’s career spanned three decades, beginning in childhood. She voiced Dot in Pixar’s A Bug’s Life (1998), earning a Grammy nomination for Best Spoken Word Album for Children for the film’s read‑along release. She went on to appear in Remember the Titans, Nashville, and most recently Scream VI.

Her role as Claire Bennet the cheerleader with regenerative powers in NBC’s hit series Heroes made her a global sensation. The show’s iconic mantra, “Save the cheerleader, save the world,” became synonymous with her character. Reflecting on the series in 2008, Panettiere said it resonated because it blended reality, sci‑fi and human storytelling in a way audiences loved.
